On April 23, at CVTE’s second industrial park in Guangzhou, students from Guangdong universities (Class of 2027 and 2028) gathered for a half-day Software OpenDay. There was no scripted presentation – only tangible technology, conversations with industry experts, and takeaways for personal growth.
The event began with a relaxed icebreaking session, helping students who had never met before quickly feel at ease. After the warm‑up, everyone toured the exhibition hall, health center, gym, and other facilities, getting a firsthand look at daily life at CVTE.
Insightful Talks
After the tour, the sharing session officially kicked off. First to take the stage was Senior HR Leader “Pao Pao” (Vice President of the HR Management Platform), who gave a comprehensive introduction to CVTE’s organizational culture, benefits system, and the career development paths available to new graduates.
Next, “Liang Liang” (a Tsinghua University graduate and now Head of Robotics at CVTE’s Central Research Institute) delivered a hard‑tech session. He broke down “Three Display Technologies That Make Glasses‑Free 3D Possible” and the five key components behind CVTE’s meeting system. Students seized the opportunity to ask about cost challenges and medical applications, sparking discussions that extended from core technology to real‑world deployment.
“Jin” (a postdoctoral fellow from Sun Yat‑sen University, and leader of a major Guangdong robotics research project) then focused on embodied AI, sharing how dexterous manipulation and multimodal large models enable robots to “see, hear, and act.”
Finally, “Tao” (an 8‑year CVTE veteran and department manager of the Commercial Software BU) walked the audience through the evolution of Seewo Whiteboard and AI agents, explaining how the product architecture scaled from a hundred thousand to tens of millions of users.
Coffee Break & Connections
After the first half, students gathered in small groups during the coffee break, continuing conversations or exchanging contact information.
Alumni Panel: Sincere, No Slides
As everyone settled back in, the atmosphere shifted – the stage was handed to five alumni who had joined CVTE through campus recruitment. They sat face‑to‑face with current students, sharing their experiences without slides, only authentic conversation.
One engineer from the cleaning robotics team (who joined nearly three years ago) recalled: “I still remember struggling with a question during my interview. The interviewer didn’t just move on – he guided me through the thinking process. That interview felt like a mini‑course, and it left a deep impression on me. CVTE never makes newcomers feel like ‘just a cog in the machine.’ Even though my trial internship was only two weeks, I was actively involved in many projects and learned a lot.” He also shared a “bowl of noodles” story: before delivering a product to a client, the team runs multiple rounds of checks on every detail. During one project in Shenzhen, after a focused bug‑fixing session, the team celebrated with a simple bowl of noodles. “It wasn’t a big deal, but at that moment I felt: fighting side by side – that warmth is real.”
Students also asked questions about embedded technology stacks and career planning, and the alumni answered each one patiently.
Hands‑On Zone & Career Opportunities
After the sharing session, the mood shifted from listening to doing. The interactive area offered technical knowledge games, one‑on‑one resume reviews, peer networking, and more. Some students received direct interview passes, while many joined dedicated tech communities, leaving with gifts and high expectations.
Looking Ahead
