CVTE News | Seewo, a CVTE Subsidiary, Contributes to Newly Released Educational Industry Standard – Promoting Standardized Development of Interactive Smart Teaching Terminals
2026-01-08

Recently, the educational industry standard "General Requirements for Large-Screen Interactive Smart Teaching Terminals" was officially released. The standard was proposed and is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Science, Technology and Information Technology of the Ministry of Education of China. Its release marks the establishment of unified and scientific technical criteria and application specifications for the field of smart teaching terminals in China. Guangzhou Shirui Electronics Co., Ltd. (Seewo), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CVTE, acted as the lead drafting enterprise, working alongside universities such as Tsinghua University and East China Normal University, as well as several renowned enterprises and research institutions, to jointly develop the standard – providing crucial support for the healthy, orderly, and high-quality development of the industry.

Building on Technical Expertise: Seewo Supports the Development of Industry Standards

As education digitization continues to deepen, large-screen interactive smart teaching terminals have evolved from "auxiliary devices" into critical infrastructure for classroom instruction. They now widely support core functions such as teaching display, classroom interaction, and content management. The display quality, interactive performance, and safety management level of these devices directly impact teaching effectiveness and the user experience for both teachers and students.

Alongside the rapid development of the industry, challenges have emerged, including ambiguous standards, significant variations in technical specifications, and low levels of teaching adaptability. How to balance teaching effectiveness with considerations such as teacher-student health, interactive experience, and classroom safety has become a shared focus across the industry. It is against this backdrop that the "General Requirements for Large-Screen Interactive Smart Teaching Terminals" was developed, aiming to establish a unified, scientific, and implementable industry standard to drive the education equipment sector toward greater standardization and higher quality.

With 17 years of experience in the education technology field, Seewo has leveraged its deep technical expertise and practical achievements from long‑term service on the frontlines of teaching to actively participate in the formulation of this standard. Focusing on real classroom scenarios, Seewo provided systematic recommendations on key aspects of teaching terminals, including audiovisual experience, interactive response, and system security, transforming mature technical specifications and practical experience into industry‑wide consensus.

The standard places a strong emphasis on the visual health of adolescents, setting strict technical requirements for eye‑protection performance of educational display devices. Drawing on years of research in display technology and eye‑care solutions, Seewo helped define requirements in the standard for capabilities such as adaptive brightness, hardware‑based blue light reduction, and anti‑glare features, guiding the industry to pay greater attention to the long‑term impact of teaching terminals on young users' vision.

In terms of interactive experience, drawing on accumulated practical experience addressing the high frequency of writing and interaction in classrooms, Seewo pushed the standard to include clear specifications for touch response speed and writing accuracy, providing a technical foundation for enhancing classroom interaction fluency.

Given the unique nature of teaching environments, Seewo also integrated its expertise in content management and system security into the standard‑setting process, helping to build more orderly and secure digital classroom environments.

Through its deep involvement in the development of this standard, Seewo has not only provided actionable and implementable technical references for the industry but has also taken concrete steps to support the ongoing improvement of the education equipment standards system.

Leading by Standard: Building a New Future for Smart Education

The development of educational industry standards is not only a reflection of current technological levels but also a guide for future directions. For Seewo, participating in the drafting of the "General Requirements for Large-Screen Interactive Smart Teaching Terminals" is not an end point, but rather an important part of its ongoing commitment to driving the high‑quality development of education technology.

Over the years, Seewo has consistently focused on closely integrating technological innovation with educational needs. Throughout product development and service delivery, Seewo continuously translates frontline teaching feedback into directions for technical optimization, evolving its products and solutions from merely "usable" to "effective and adaptable." This has gradually built a comprehensive education ecosystem covering hardware, software, and teaching services.

Today, Seewo under CVTE has systematically established a "1+N+N" AI technology system, with the "Seewo Teaching Large Model" at its core, driving AI applications across all scenarios and enabling intelligent collaboration with terminals. This delivers intelligent services covering the entire process of teaching, learning, research, assessment, and management. From standard drafting to cutting‑edge exploration, Seewo focuses not only on current hardware specifications but also on upgrading AI from an "assistive tool" to a "teaching partner."

Seewo AI has now been deployed in 19 key demonstration zones across China, reaching more than 3,000 schools and over 7,000 classrooms. More than 360,000 classroom smart feedback reports have been generated. These real, large‑scale teaching data inputs and application outcomes not only enable AI to truly integrate into instruction but also provide highly valuable practical examples for the future intelligent transformation of educational interactive equipment.

Looking ahead, as new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data continue to integrate into educational settings, teaching terminals will play even more important roles in the classroom – and the guiding role of standards will become increasingly critical. CVTE will continue to leverage standard development as a key lever, deepen its R&D and application research, actively participate in the formulation and refinement of more educational industry standards, and work with industry partners to promote the healthy and orderly development of the education technology ecosystem.

By co‑creating standards and fostering positive interaction between technological progress and teaching practice, CVTE aims to work alongside the industry to steadily strengthen the foundation for smart education development and contribute long‑term value to the high‑quality advancement of education digitization.
